509 Art Deco is a concept workshop with DIY home décor as

signature highlight. We aim at sharing the concept of presenting

practical furniture and lifestyle décor with art sense added on,

transforming into a very unique handcraft.

 

509 Art Deco是個以DIY家居裝飾為標誌性亮點的概念性工作室，

透過在家具及生活飾品製作過程中注入藝術成份，成為獨具實用價值

的手作。

 

Elaine WONG, founder of 509 Art Deco yet art enthusiast, who

has studied Restoration and Contemporary Art in Florence, Italy.

She combined restoration, graphic design and painting, as a

brand-new form of creation as the principal concept in the

workshops of 509 Art Deco.

 

509 Art Deco的主理人–黃依妮(Elaine)為藝術狂熱份子，曾在意大利佛羅倫斯修讀文物復修及當代藝術。她揉合復修、平面設計與繪畫成一種嶄新的創作方式，作為509 Art Deco工作坊裡面的創作理念。

 

This new format of decoration emphasizes having fun via producing small furniture and home groceries such as, glass plate, cake stand, stool, styling mirror and event cabinet, with a very personalized touch added.

 

這種嶄新的創作方式更強調製作過程中得到的樂趣，令家俬和家居用品如：玻璃碟、茶點架、凳子及鏡變得更具個人風格。

 

“There is nothing about ‘good’ or ‘bad’ in art, so as in 509 Art Deco. What we concern the fun from art, via home décor making through a relaxing way.” said Elaine.

 

Elaine認為：「藝術裡面並沒有好壞的等級之分，在509 Art Deco亦然，我們在乎的是以悠然自得的態度製作家居裝飾，從而得到藝術帶來的樂趣。」
